The variety is found in almost all wine regions of Hungary. Diverse and interesting, it responds well to almost any winemaking style, with excellent batches being released with both reductive and barrel ageing. In good growing conditions, its acidity is spiney and elegant, and its wines can be perfectly balanced. Longer ageing in oak makes the flavours more delicate, so it is worth taking the time.
