Zöld veltelini (a.k.a. Grünerveltliner) is the number one white wine grape of the Sopron wine region, but it can also be found in other areas of the country, including Pécs. It is an Austrian variety by origin. It shows mineral notes with peach and green herb aromas, and thanks to its lively acidity, it is a really fresh wine. It is usually a light, easy to drink, summer wine. It displays a nose typical of the variety: green, freshly cut grass and citrus.
