The 2020 Szilénusz is the blend of an international variety and the two most important Hungarian varieties in a special vintage. What unites the three varieties is their ability to produce particularly high quality wines on chalky soils, so the Triassic limestone of Balatonszőlős provides excellent foundations. The result is a great wine fit for long ageing, where the remarkable concentration is not to the detriment of elegance. It was aged in third-fill 300-litre new barrels and traditional large barrels in equal parts.
