A deep-coloured, full-bodied and rounded wine that is rich in fine tannins and shows the benefits of ageing. A blend of two varieties it marries spice and fruit complemented by discreet notes of barrel ageing. With smooth tannins, following 10 months of bottle ageing, the deep, warm aromas, including some chocolate, typical of Cabernet Franc and the velvety texture of Merlot are clearly expressed. Serve at 16-18 °C, with game dishes, red meats, desserts with chocolate and strawberries.
