Tramini (a.k.a. Gewürztraminer) is a light, fresh, aromatic white wine grape variety. It is considered a relative of the Muscat Blanc variety. The wine is golden yellow in colour, with a rose and lychee scent, hints of Muscat aromas, spice, fruit, cinnamon and honey flavours. The nose displays an intense fragrance and is quite fruity but in no ways overpowering. It’s not reserved, but not disturbingly loud either. Its strength and also its interest lies in the fact that its herbaceous and spicy notes make it a gastronomic wine.
