The founders of the winery in Kisjakabfalva (the German-speaking Swabians call it Jackfall) say that their goal was to create a prestige winery that focuses exclusively on quality and its mission is to show the special character of Villány’s terroir down to its details.
“Villány should not produce wines which could be made anywhere, but wines that can only be produced here,” explains Gábor Jandrasics, who adds that they are continuing a 100-year-old Villány tradition by crafing most of their wines from the region’s typical varieties, Kékfrankos and Portugieser, not just the world varieties.
