It was fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for a few months. After that it was then aged in 500 litre barriques for a year. It is a late ripening variety, harvested in the first half of October, with a generally high sugar content. Cabernet Franc yields deep red, dry, quality red wines with high extract and bright tannins. The nose is characterised by red berries, especially raspberries, cherries, plums and strawberries, with a peppery spiciness and a long finish. Barrique ageing suites Cabernet Franc really well and provides some extra aromas.
