Fischer Merlot, 2017

An internationally recognised variety of French origin. It is highly adaptable to the site and is one of the mainstays of Bordeaux blends. Fischer Winery’s Merlot offers a sweet, fruity nose, with hints of plums, strawberries and also some jammy, coffee and tobacco notes. The medium body palate displays ripe cherries, plums, tobacco and light smoke notes. A harmonious, fiery, full-bodied red wine that carries on the notes promised by the nose right unto the finish. Great accompaniment to grilled dishes. A must for BBQ parties, it goes really well with spicy meat dishes. Planted area: 3ha
