Another rarity. In Hungary, Cirfandli is only grown in the Pécs wine region. Only 20 hectares are cultivated. It is a great challenge for both winegrowers and winemakers. Its best wines are made from partially or fully shrivelled, overripe grapes and contain natural residual sugar. It is therefore recommended with duck or foie gras dishes and not too sweet raisin desserts.
