Tűzkő Grüner Veltliner, 2021

Greenish-white in colour, this is a flavoursome wine with a lively acidity. The unique white pepper and citrus character of the variety is beautifully displayed. Grüner Veltliner offers a rich variety of choices: it can be vinified as a mass wine, but with yields kept low it can reach top quality. The fact that it can be full-bodied and elegant at the same time makes it rather unique. When grapes are picked at optimal ripeness the wines show a delicate acidity. In terms of aromatics, the spicy flavours are combined with fruit, which can be yellow apple or tropical fruit, depending on the vintage and the terroir. Serve chilled at 12 °C, at this temperature its freshness makes it an excellent conversation wine.
