Velencei-tavi Winery

László L. Simon’s family has been growing grapes and making wine for generations. They currently farm 94 hectares of land around Lake Venice. The winery is constantly being developed: today the fermentation and storage capacity is of 4000 hl, they employ modern machinery for grape processing and own a high-performance cooling system. The winery has two product lines. The bottles of the L. Simon range are decorated with the image of migratory birds living in the reeds of Lake Velence. The other is the Velence wine range, where the different varieties are represented by otters playing. Lake Velence is home to a sizeable otter population.
