Sziegl Cellars

The first wine made by Petra and Balázs was a Kadarka. They were students in their early-twenties when the old vines and the beautiful surroundings captured their imagination. And so they realized that their future lies in the place where they were born. As time progressed their belief in the wine-growing region and its traditional varieties grew stronger. They are passionate about this region, and their aim is to preserve and express this terroir. They tend each vine manually, using organic farming methods. The wines are made with a traditional approach: nothing is added or taken away. The resulting natural wines speak of the place of production and the winemaker’s personality.
